Our Zooplankton oil is sustainably harvested from the abundant biomass of tiny crustacean (Calanus finmarchicus) in the Norwegian Sea.

Due to the natural purity of the Calanus finmarchicus, minimal processing is required. No refining. No chemicals. No concentration of fatty acids. Just, simple extraction with zero waste.

How it works…

The liquid wax in Zooca™ Lipids contains unsurpassed levels of ergogenic policosanols, enhancing muscle mass and function. These lipids are digested in the distal (lower) intestine, giving a slow but complete uptake, which also allows for activation of GPR120 receptors. This receptor activation supports favorable body composition by helping to regulate the metabolism of sugar and fat.

In addition to policosanols, mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids in the potent form of liquid wax, Calanus finmarchicus contains high levels of astaxanthin, one of the most powerful antioxidants found in nature. Astaxanthin gives Zooca™ Lipids its dark red color.

Zooca™ Lipids also contains the polyunsaturated fatty acids SDA (stearidonic acid) as well as the more widely known EPA and DHA. All of which have been shown to support a healthy inflammatory response.
